It’s called Treacher Collins syndrome. People hold eye
contact for too long. Or avoid it, stare where her chin should be.
The spa package was a gift. She feels beautiful, glances at
her nails, feels her smooth forehead.
A carload of boys slows. One leans out. “Why the long face?”
Wow, what assholes, so sad, ruining her moment of enjoying her pampering. I couldn't remember what Treacher Collins syndrome is so I googled it; intense. Great thing to write about. I could see a longer story on this.
